CBD … Easy as 123

Blame it on Nancy “Just Say No” Reagan or McGruff the Crime Dog, but many of us have been conditioned to think negatively or maybe just giggle when we hear someone talking about CBD (Cannabidiol) for our pets. But giving CBD to your dog or cat (or to yourself) is actually a responsible thing to do, and could help alleviate and even prevent many health issues. As I’ve written in this space previously, we’ve been trying different options to help our little brown dog, Stuey, deal with long car rides. He pants, shakes, and barely holds himself together until he’s released...

Fat Dog

Fat Dog

We’re a nation of overeaters. Perhaps up to two-thirds of Americans are overweight or obese. So is it really a surprise that so many of our pets are overweight as well?Just as with humans, our pets can gain weight for a variety of reasons: Overeating, lack of exercise, medications, illness, etc.My normally fit and trim mixed-breed dog gained 5 pounds over the course of a year or two. A Long, Strange Trip with Stuey

A Long, Strange Trip with Stuey

“Stuey is hiding under the bushes. He’s shaking and won’t come in the house. It’s like 10 degrees out there. Incredible Pets

In just the last couple of days, we’ve seen pets doing things so incredible they left us thinking maybe our own cats and dogs could possibly do more than nap and chase squirrels. The third annual World Dog Surfing Championships held in California over the weekend made me wish my dogs would venture more than just two inches into a lake. These thrill-seeking pups rode gnarly waves with and without their human companions. CBS Sunday Morning featured truffle sniffing dogs at the North American Truffle Dog Championship in Oregon. Although we do have customers with dog breeds especially known for...
